The Advanced Studies Program is designed for individuals who have completed the 4-year instructor training program to address the need for training individuals through more in-depth instruction in specific subject areas. In this program, participants continue in their quest to learn and apply new skills, knowledge, and abilities that will enable them to become better instructors and to have a greater impact on students. Participants also have the opportunity to continue networking with other instructors, professional educators, and various individuals who share similar desires to provide the highest quality of technical instruction and training in the industry.
Beginning with the 2016 National Training Institute, the NTI Advanced Studies Program experienced a number of substantial changes. Among these changes were new courses, new course formats, and recognition for participants who meet “graduation” requirements! A major element of the redesign of courses was a change from a two-summer time frame to a one-summer time frame for course completion. This provides more flexibility for participants and training programs by removing the two-year commitment to complete each course.
