TRAINING

The National Training Institute was started in 1990, then known as the “Instructor Training Institute,” to professionally train educators instructing IBEW Apprentices and Journeymen. Since then, the Instructor Training Institute has evolved into the NTI of today, offering World Class Training for Instructors, Apprentices, Journey-Level Workers, JATC Committee Members, Training Directors, and Local Union and Chapter Officers.

  Training Groups

I Group

I Group classes make up the instructor training program taught by Professional Educators from colleges and universities across the country. These Professional Education classes are offered at four levels, or years. If an instructor has taken all four years of the Instructor Training Program and would like to continue training in the I Group, NTI offers a three-year Advanced Studies Professional Education program.
